Grandparent & Multicultural Day
Our school celebrated both Grandparents Day and Universal Children’s Day in Term 4. The occasion served as a meaningful reminder of the invaluable role that grandparents play in nurturing and guiding younger generations, as well as the importance of recognising and upholding the rights and well-being of all children. Students expressed their appreciation through performances, heartfelt messages, and creative displays, fostering intergenerational connection and respect. As always the best part of the day was the sharing of food brought in by the families. This highlights the amazing multicultural community that is BLSPS.
Stage 2 The Rocks Excursion
In Week 5 of Term 4, our Stage 2 our students were transported back in time to the days of first contact and colonial exploration. Throughout the excursion, they immersed themselves in the people, events, and actions that shaped early world exploration and its far-reaching effects. They learned about the effects of British colonisation in Australia and discussed Indigenous perspectives on European arrivals.
K-2 Athletics Carnival
In Week 6 of Term 4, our students enjoyed a fun morning of running races at the K–2 Athletics Carnival. It was wonderful to see our youngest learners giving their best, supporting their peers, and showing great sportsmanship throughout the day. A big thank you to our staff for organising such a smooth and engaging event. Well done to all!
