P&C Colour Run

P&C Colour Run

Join us for our "COLOUR RUN".

This is an optional event for all students, however, as it is a charity event we kindly request that a donation is made, more details can be found in the payment section on school bytes.

The charity fundraising event is being coordinated and supported by our P&C, raising money for Stewart House. Thanks to our P&C who have kindly donated the colour run powder for the event.

Stewart House provides for children in need from NSW and ACT public schools a residential program for up to 12 days duration where learning is embedded within a health and wellbeing framework. Central to the program is the requirement that children are part of the public education system in either state. Stewart House is supported by the Department of Education and NSW Health and relies on donations from teachers and schools.

Dress Code

  • Children will need to wear suitable mufti clothing taking into consideration that clothes will be sprayed with coloured powder. Covered shoes should be worn.
  • Whilst the powder is non-toxic, wind and other factors can blow powder into eyes as such students are welcome to bring and wear glasses or goggles.
  • As we will have normal Friday sport, children are welcome to wear their sports uniform and then change prior to the run, this is optional only.
  • PSSA children will need to wear their sports uniform and change prior to the activity.

Advice from the supplier - Although colour powder washes out very easily, we advise you not to wear your best clothes or most expensive shoes. Leather and suede especially are known for easily absorbing colour powder. If you want to keep the colour in your t-shirt, spray with vinegar. However, the colour powder will wash out after several washes.

* Student health is up-most important. The colour/holi powder is made of 98% corn starch and 2% permitted colours.

* The easiest way to remove the colour is while it’s still dry (shake, wiggle or jump up and down). Soap and water, with a little rinse will do the trick. If water is added to the event there is a potential of staining hair, however, it will wash out over time.

Parents are welcome to attend.

School gates will be open just prior to 2:15pm
